Must have jinxed the weather with my gloating because it was only 43 degrees this morning. It was overcast and as I drove into town I could see mist rising from the hills ahead forming into thin clouds that blended with the gray sky. But with the fall colors beginning to spread it was a gentle morning and very easy on the eyes. I always loved spring and fall in Michigan when I lived there. The brisk, clean air, the taste of change. Winter here can seem gloomy to some. I prefer to think of it as calm and gentle. Of course, weeks from now, I may be singing a very different tune as the overcast skies take their toll on my spirits.

Divine weather
While sports fans elsewhere were bundled up against the cold we had shirt sleeve weather. Again! I've lived a lot of places but where I'm at now is the home I've been dreaming of. Don't have to shovel it or sweat in it. While others had snow today, I was out deadheading dahlias and thinking about picking more tomatoes.

An Army of Davids by Glenn Reynolds
I'm getting a lot out of this book, not the least of which is a sense of hope and empowerment. Plus some really good links to blogs and independent music sources.
Yet another aimless blog!
Sometimes if you want to keep up you have to get in the game. So I've started a blog, to join the other 70 million plus blogs, in order to learn the technology. With that many blogs out there I doubt this one will ever be of note, and that's o.k.
